Board Rules
We ask that you read these board rules carefully before posting in our forum.
All guests are allowed to browse our forum and read the postings here.
All guest must register for a free account and become a member, before being allowed to post or reply to postings.
All members must make at least one post per month, or their account will be subject to review. If a member does not make a post within 2 consecutive months, their account will be subject to deletion.
All members must comment on at least one post for each new post they create.
No multiple post, please post all messages only once.
No inappropriate or slanderous remarks, including personal attacks or insults of any kind.
No inappropriate or obscene language, except for the occasional swear word which may be necessary to get your message across in your poem.
Members may post poetry for comments or critique by other members. Please do not post over 75 lines at one time.
We have several poetry categories under which you may post. Please post to the appropriate category:
(1) Nature / Animal Poems - poems about nature or animals.
(2) Family / Friend Poems - poems about family or friends.
(3) Love / Relationship Poems - poems about love, romance, or relationships.
(4) Passion / Adult Poems - poems about passion, sex or other adult topics.
**This board is password protected.**
(5) Inspirational Poems - poems with an inspirational theme.
(6) Seasonal Poems - poems with a seasonal or holiday theme.
(7) Dark Poems - poems with a dark, twisted or sinister theme.
(8) Dedication / Memorial Poems - poems written as a dedication, a memorial or tribute to a particular person or cause.
(9) Fixed-Form Poems - poems written in a style such as Sonnet, Cynquain, Haiku, etc. . .
(10) Collaborative / Image Poems - poems which you wrote along with another writer. Also poems which you wrote with a particular image in mind or in collaboration with an artist.
(11) General Poems - poems whose subject does not fit into any other category.
(12) Add-A-Line - this is an interactive poem category and allows members to be creative on the spot. Each month we will start a new poem by posting a few lines. Members may read these lines and add a few lines of their own to the work.
(13) Classic Poems - poems written by a well known poet throughout history. It may be a poem you remember from childhood; a poem you memorized for a school project; or a poem that got you through a rough time. Share your favorite poems here.
Members who also write songs may post their songs lyrics for comment or critique by other members. Please do not post your lyrics in the poem categories, we have a separate category for song lyrics.
Members may include an image in their post, please no images larger than (300 x 300). Please give proper credit when including an image.
Members may post a notice of events related to this board, such as poetry reading, book signing, contest or other event only in the appropriate category.
No spamming or commercial advertising allowed. Members who do so will be banned.
No reproduction of any members work for purposes outside this board without his/her written permission or from the administrator of this board.
We reserve the right to edit any inappropriate post, or move any post not in the appropriate category.
Any member who fails to abide by these rules will receive a warning. Any member who fails to abide by these rules a second time will be banned from this board.
